A Milestone in My LinkedIn Journey

In 2006, a couple of friends in the U.S. encouraged me to join a new platform founded by someone named Reid Hoffman. At the time, I didn’t realize how significant this decision would be. For many years, I was one of the very few LinkedIn members in my region, navigating this platform alone and watching as it slowly but surely evolved from a simple online CV repository into the powerful business network we all know today.

For the past 18 years, LinkedIn has been more than just a platform to me. It’s been a place where I’ve followed industry trends, learned from peers, and celebrated the achievements of colleagues around the world. It’s where I was able to build a hospital in Dubai, hiring over 95% of our incredible team through this very platform. On the day we opened our doors, our hospital’s LinkedIn page reached an incredible milestone of 100,000 followers, significantly boosting awareness and helping us connect with the community.

As a physician and healthcare leader, LinkedIn has allowed me to communicate directly with my now 103,000 followers and share insights through my ‘Chief Healthcare Officer’ newsletter, which has grown to over 53,000 subscribers.

Three months ago, the LinkedIn team reached out to me with an incredible opportunity—to work together on making my profile one of LinkedIn’s Top Voices, an honor shared by influential figures like Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Adam Grant, and Simon Sinek. After months of mentorship and invaluable guidance, I’m proud to share that the “Top Voice” badge has now been added to my profile. You’ll notice the LinkedIn blue logo next to my name, a symbol of both recognition and the responsibility to contribute even more to our community.

This recognition is deeply meaningful to me, and it comes with a strong sense of responsibility. It pushes me to create more content, share more insights, and continue supporting the global healthcare community here on LinkedIn.

I’m eager to hear from you—what more can I do to support professionals, companies, and job seekers on this platform? Your feedback is invaluable.

Thank you to each of my followers, the LinkedIn teams, and, of course, the founder of this incredible platform. Your support over the past 18 years has been instrumental in my career journey.
