The Essence of Leadership: Serving with Humility and Compassion

Yesterday, following the Eid, our hospital held a special lunch event where I had the distinct privilege of serving food alongside my fellow leaders to our dedicated staff members.

True leadership in healthcare means being people-centric, understanding that our role as leaders is not to be served but rather to serve with humility and compassion. This event provided us with an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to our teams and the mission we all share: delivering exceptional care to our patients.

The lunch also allowed us to connect with our caregivers on a personal level, listen to their experiences, and engage in meaningful conversations about how we can work together to enhance the quality of care we provide to our patients.

I firmly believe that the most effective leadership is rooted in empathy and that our actions speak louder than words. This special event served as a reminder that when we embrace humility and service, we can foster a nurturing environment that promotes growth, collaboration, and excellence.

I am grateful to be part of such an extraordinary team and eagerly anticipate more opportunities to serve and grow together.
