Realising the value of digital health in Asia and the Pacific
It's an exciting time for digital health as we head to the Arab Health Exhibition in Dubai next week.
As the market for digital health technology continues to grow, with projections of a value of $1.5 trillion by 2030, it's important to remember that this potential for widespread transformation in healthcare delivery and health system organization can only be realized through conscious effort by governments, policymakers, and healthcare decision-makers. It's also crucial to keep in mind that while digital health solutions offer potential benefits such as increased efficiency and personalization, they don't automatically guarantee better patient outcomes or add value to the overall health system. To fully harness the transformative power of digital health, there must be a clear regulatory framework in place and a focus on end-users. Additionally, the use of AI in healthcare holds great promise for improving population-level outcomes and accelerating progress towards universal health coverage.
