Occupational health and Health Promotion have many benefits for the individuals and employees
The goal of health promotion and disease prevention initiatives is to keep people healthy. Health promotion programs seek to engage and empower people and communities to adopt healthy habits and make lifestyle changes that minimize the chance of acquiring chronic illnesses and other morbidities.
It was my pleasure to attend health promotion program organized by General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) and meeting with Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri Director General, GDRFA Dubai. Occupational health plays an important role in such health promotion activities and cooperations need hospital partners in this activity.
Occupational health initiatives have the potential to affect change at both the individual (i.e., employee) and organizational levels. Individually, workplace health initiatives have the ability to influence an employee's health, including their health practices, illness risks, and current health status. Occupational health initiatives have the ability to affect areas such as health care expenses, absenteeism, productivity, recruitment/retention, culture, and employee morale for firms. Employers, employees, their families, and communities all benefit from illness and injury prevention and health maintenance.
